THIS COMPANY insures against loss or damage by fire almost every description of property in most parts of the world, and now grants policies to.cover properties^ in this colony at reduced rates of premium, varying from 10s. to £2 10s. per cent., according to the ( degree of risk. LIFE DEPARTMENT. This Company also grants policies on every description of risk contingent upon human life, including insurances for the whole term thereof, or for short periods, and with or without participation in profits. It is a peculiar feature of the Company that from the nature of its constitution it affords all the advantages of a mutual association combined with the security of a proprietary company; and amongst other inducements to insure with it may be mentioned— 1. Equitable rates of premium. 2. Liberal bonus distributed amongst all participating policies at each valuation. 3. Exemption from all extra chavge for residence in New Zealand. 4. Prompt settlement of claims in the colony without the delay of referring to England, the Agency being provided with ample funds at the Union Bank for that purpose.
