Messrs .Rinta’s mill will commence operations on the 260b inst The ruahciders are busy with their fad muster, oul dipping is in full sw ng. At the last Burnside sales lambs sent forward by Wm Ewart realised 85s, while a line of lambs fmm Messrs Kinross Bros brought 84s highly satisfactory prices from the growers’ point of view. De-pite irrigation, grass is scarce in this district this season. The turnip or< ps are looking fairly well, but they are light and will soon be eaten off. ‘ There are evidently some stray dogs about the district at present, as between Sunday night and Monday morning Mr Al-mr Scott, had some sheep worried in a paddock bordering on the main road.
