WAR MEMORIAL DESIGNS.
On Exhibition In Amwtown Copies of the War Memorial designs recently received by the Government from Mr Hurat Seager, a well known New Zealand architect at present in England, reached Arrowtown yesterday. In order to educate the publio to appreciate what ie. considered by art authorities to be desirable forms of memorial, - exhibitions were recently held in London under the auspices of the Royal College of Art and the Royal Academy, and forty-one of the designs deemed to be mtst suitable to New Zealand’s requirements were photo* graphed and copies forwarded to the Government. In view of the proposal to erect a memorial to the local lads who lost their lives in the Great War, residents of the town and district should make a point of inspecting the designs. They will bo oa. exhibition in the Council . Chambers to-day, tomorrow, and Saturday from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. and 7 p m. to 9 p.m.
