IT PAYS TO ADVERTISE.
Advertising helps everyone, every day, everywhere, in every way, says a New York exchange. Advertising is the vital foroe in the upbuilding of our national life and public welfare. Advertising taught mankind the use of the telegraph and telephone, the automobile, sanitation, the need of outdoor recreation, the use of dentrifice, of safety razors, of cereal food preparations. Thousands of churches and religious organisations of every kind are now persistent advertisers. One could go on for a week. In hnndreds of ways advertising affects favourably tbe small details of our daily lives. It also aooomplished such tremendously big things as the overselling of the Liberty Loans and the raising of the vast Bed Gross and Bimilar funds. Advertising secured the soldiers, sailors, and marines who finished the big job over there in France.
