WEDDING.

Hansen—MoMaster.

A pretty wedding was celebrated at St. John's Presbyterian Church, Arrowtown, yesterday. The contracting parties were Gunner George Hansen, M.M., son of Mr and Mrs C. Hansen, Frankton, and Miss Annie MoMaster, fourth daughter of Mr and Mrs J MoMaster, Arrow Junction. Great interest was centred in the event, as the oouple are very popular. The wedding was of a military character, the bridegroom and best man being returned soldiers. A number of returned men acted as guards of honour at the church door. The Bev. J. Rattray was the officiating clergyman, and there was a large attendance of friends and well-wishers. The church bad been tastefully decorated by the girl friends of the bride. The bride was attended by two sisters, Misses Irene and Olive, and Mr James Hansen was best man. The bride, who was given away by her father, looked charming in a dainty frock of ivory satin, trimmed with pink ninon, and wore the usual veil and orange blossoms. Miss Irene was attired in a pretty pink silk frook with a pioture hat to matoh. Miss Olive, who wore a frock of pale blue silk with touches of white, carried out the duties as flower girl. They carried shower bouquets. As the bridal party were leaving the ohuroh the organist (Miss Stevenson) played Lohengrin's wedding march. After the ceremony the guests adjourned to the residence of the bride's parents, where the wedding breakfast was served in a large marquee. The toasts usual to suoh an occasion were duly honoured, the Rev. J. Rattray, who presided, proposing the principal toast, " The Bride and Bridegroom," in a happy speech. Shortly afterwards the newly-wedded couple left by motor for Queenstown, en route for the North Island, where the honeymoon is to be spent. The young couple were the recipients of numerous costly and beautiful presents. In the evening a large number of young people were entertained at a danoe by Mr and Mrs MoMaster.
