MIRACULOUS ESCAPE.

Lady Motorist Saved by a Cowcatcher. A miraculous escape from a fatal accident occurred at Daunevirke last week at Allardice street crossing when a motor car driven by Mrs Fisher, of Terehunga, collided with a train. Mrs Fisher was the only occupant of the car, and she was thrown to the front part, the cushion with her on it being then caught by the engine cowcatcher and carried about a hundred yards till ■jhe train pulled up. Mrs Fisher sustained bruises and is suffering from shock. The motor car was smashed to splinters.
