Notice is hereby given that an Election to fill the Extraordinary Vacancy of Mayor for the Borough of Arrowtown, caused by the resignation of Mr William Penglase, will be held on Wednesday, 25th June, 1919 ; and I hereby appoint the Council Chambers as the place, and Wednesday, 18th day of June, 1919 (before noon) as the day of nomination of candidates for such office, A deposit of £lO must be lodged with the nomination. Notice is hereby given that the Municipal Council of the Borough of Arrowtown, at its meeting held at the Borough Council Chambers, Buckingham street, Arrowtown, on Tnesday evening, 27th May, 1919, at 8 o'clock, made and levied, under sections 78 to 80, both inclusive, of "The Eating Act, 1908," General Rate of One shilling and Sixpence(l/6) in the £ for the financial year ending on the 31st day of March, 1920, upon the rateable value of all rateable properties within the Borough of Arrowtown, as appearing on the Borough Valuation Roll in force for the time being, and payable in one sum on the Ist September 1919.
