SOCIAL & PRESENTATION.

[CONTRIBUTID.] The members of the choir of the Presbyterian Church, Arrow, arranged a farewell social gathering to bid God speed to one of the choir members, Mr Oswald Edie, of the Flying Oorp3, who is shortly leaving for the front. The gathering, which was held in the vestry, and was attended by practically all the young peopk of the choir, took the shape of an informal family gathering. Parlour games were heartily indulged in, songs and choruses were contributed, and joined in by all pre--Bant, and short impromptu speeches were made by the minister (Mr Rattray) and chairman (Mr W. Stevenson), Later in the evening, Mr Stevenson, on behalf of the choir members, presented Mr Edie with a fountain pen and soldier's testament, as a small token of the love and friendship felt towards him and of the high esteem in which he was held by his fellow choristers. They felt honoured that Mr Edie was making the Flying Corps his choice, and they prayed for God's blessing on him and a safe return when duty is nobly done. Tea and light refreshments were handed round, and all went " merry as a marriage bell." The happy hours went all too soon, but we parted near to midnight reluctantly, I admit—to the strains of " Should auld acquaintance be forget," and a noble son of a noble house goes forth to face the Empire's foes. Will ye no come back again ? Better lo'ed ye could na' be, Will ye no come back again ?
