HENRI FRENCH.
Thera should be a large audience at the Atheueum Hall to-morrow (Friday) evening when the Great Henri French and his talented company of vaudeville artists will make their first appearance in Arrowtown. Speaking of the “ star ” performer, a contemporary say* :—The advent of The Great Henri French at the Olympia, was looked foiward to with some enthusiasm on Saturday, and that enthusiasm only grew as tha performance we..t on. At the close there was a splendid and exciting climax which was the signal for an outburst of applause seldom before accorded to any artist. Entering the stage on his velocipede, he goes from act to act and trick to trick in an almost bewildering fashion, his juggling and sleight of hand work being new, and very much appreciated. The Intoxicated Genius is by no means a misnomer, for under the influence of the bottle he performs many tricks quite unknown to professional skaters. Miss Rose Blossom (“That Act Beautiful”), Mddle. Vinon (A. Wonderful Rifle Shct), Paganani’s Ghost, Dave Hart’s Doga, Pigs, and Monkeys, and Miss Elsie Simpson (Queen,of Ragtime) complete the show. It is a whirlwind of fun and frolic and is too good to be missed.
