Muir wrote consenting to tho use of portion of Hayes’ Hill as a tree-planting reserve providing tho fencing did not interfere with the mustering.—lt was decided to forward Mr Muir’s letter on to tho Department. The Mayor intimated that the avenue of trees in Lower Buckingham street had been completed in a workmanlike manner. (Wo might 1 re appeal to all—both young and old—to endeavor to have tho trees spared from damage./) Tho usual monthly accounts were passed for payment. It was decided to put in new tanks at the head of tho pipe lino as the present tanks were worn out. Tho remainder of the business was of tho usual routine nature.
