FARMERS' COLUMN.
Gore Horse Bazaar. Wright, Stephenson mid Co., icport as follows : We held a special sale of horsos at the above yards on Saturday before a largo attendance of district faruiors, contractors, carters and dealers. Tim entry forward consisted of 150 horses and included some nice mares and geldings suitable lor farm work, and also a few nice spring cartel's. Competition for draught horses suitable to go into immediate work was fairly keen and in a number of instances wo secured prices in advance of vendors' reserves. Some of our sales are as follows :—A very nice bay mare syrs old jE37 ; bay gelding £\ir, lUs ; 4yr old light gelding (would make an ideal spring vaimerj £22; 7yr old bay mare £3ti; tjyr old bay gelding £27 10s; chestnut gelding £27 10s; bay gelding (iyis £3O; aged mares and geldings from £lO down to £10; several hacks and harness horses at. prices down to £4 15s. We passed in a, very nice quality 7yr old draught mare at £4O which was considerably below the vendor's reserve. At the conclusion of tho horse sale wo sold a quantity of new and second-hand harness at satisfactory pi ices.
