Annual Meeting. The annual meeting of members of the above Society was held in the Athoneum Hall, Arrowtown, on Saturday afternoon last, and was well attended. The president, Mr R. M. Paterson, Resided. Rev. J. F. O'Donnell, ffessrs G. D. Baird, and R. J. Cotter apologised for nonattendance.

The balance-sheet, which was adopted, showed a credit balance of £ll 19s lOd. Receipts amounted to £202 18s 7d, and expenditure totalled £l9O 18s 9d (including outstanding accounts from previous year amounting to £22). Assets were shown at £69 18s lOd. In moving the adoption of the balance-sheet, the president said it Bhowed a very satisfactory state of affairs. The Society had commenced last year with a debit balance of about £lB. A depreciation of £6 had also been aUowed on their assets. Mr T. Connor seconded the motion which was carried.

Mr Connor proposed, Mr Robins seconded—That the annual show be held and that a committee consisting of the President, Messrs Baird and Leo Lee wait on Mr W. Roid with power to arrange for the use of the ground on which the last show was held.—Carried.

Mr P. Reid proposed, Mr Connor seconded —That the show be held on Friday, Ist December.—Carried. On the motion of Messrs P. Reid and Connor, Mr R. M. Paterson was unanimously re-elected president. In thanking members for the honor, Mr Paterson said he would have liked to have seen another member appointed, as he thought the office of prosideut should be a rolling one. The following vice-presidents were elected—Rev. Father O'Donnell, Mr W. Fraser, M.P., Drs Thomson and Stewart, Messrs W. Turton, W. BHawson, G. H. Gifford, G. D. Baird, H. McKibbin, W. Reid, F. Reid, T. Connor, J. W. Brown, A. Goodley, G. D. Baird, and A. Jopp. The following collectors were appointed :-Malaghansand Queenstown, Messrs R. Hunter and T. J. Healy : Lower Shotover, Frankfcon, and Speargrass Flat, Messrs W. S. Reid and J. W. Brown; Arrowtown and Arrow Junction, Messrs G. D. Baird and A. Goodley ; Gibbstou, Messrs T. Connor and A. Jopp ; Skippers, Mr A. Lambie ; Glenorchy, Messrs A. Fraser and W. Holland ; Wanaka, Mr J. Miller; G'ardrona, Mr Alfred Lafranchie. The appointment of judges was left in the hands of the President and Messrs Baird, Cotter and Goodley. It was resolved that members' tickets be 103 6d, to carry same privilege as last year, viz., that the holder of a member's ticket, his wife and family up to 12 years, also his vehicle and horses be admitted to the show ground free ; children of non-members (up to 12 years) to be charged halfprice. The attendant in charge ol horses, cattle, sheep, and pigs to be admitted free. The meeting closed with a vote of ihanks to the chair.
