[We. do not identify ourselves -with the opinions of our correspondents.] TO THE EDITOR. Sir, —la your last issue a correspondent wrote urging the Boroughs of Queenitown and Arrowtown to assist the County in getting funds to erect a new bridge over the Shotover. I have no fears about the matter myself. The members of both bodies are too sensible to oppose so legitimate a request when made. If they do, they will be blind to the ratepayers' interests. The bridge is, if I may term it so, " as rotten as a pear " and the sooner the work of erecting it is gone on with the better it will be for the people of the County as a whole.—l am, etc., RATEPAYER.
