The following business of local interest was dealt with by tho Board last, week : - A request by David Mack in for a reconsideration of his application for an occupation leaso under "The Mining Districts Land Occupation Act, 180-t," over part of 0 and 7, Block 11, Kuwir.ui district was considered. Wesley Turton and Son, on behalf of John (Jhafmers, objected to the application, and Ihore was a petition from miners and residents al Waitiri against the granting of the application. Ranger Mackenzie forwarded a petition fro.n settlers at Glenorchy asking thai lite Mount Alfred bush reserve lie reduced from 12 chains to three chains.
