CHEMIST CHARGED WITH MANSLAUGHTER.
James R. Hayne, a well-known Dunedin chemist, was arrested on Saturday for the manslaughter of Margaret Kendrick, a single woman, aged 85, who died in the hospital at three that morning, as the result of an illegal operation, after her depositions had been taken. Bail was refused.
