AMERICAN FLOATING EXPOSITION.
In 1901 it. was suggested (says the I "Scientific American") that for the furtherance of our export trade it would be ;in excellent idea to equip ;t huge steamer as a floating exposition of American products, and deS--1 atch il on ii I our of the world. A strong cuiupnny has been formed, in New York, and it is proposed to etplip a steamer of about 8,000 tons for the specific purpose of the expedition, anil lit up the various decks with exposition booths of much the same character as those to be seen in any great indnst rial exhibit ion. The steamer, in addition to devoting three decks lo exhibits, will I have living accomodation for about I :?(iti representatives of exhibitors. A ! route has been laid out which will I include a \ is-it to prtict it-ally every i port of importance in Ihe world, and I will involve a. journey of about ! Ot),(Kill miles.
