The gold yield of Westralia for August was 156,910 fiae oz., valued at £066,512, or an increase of over 7000oz over that of the previous month. From the Mines Statement we learn that the quantity of gold entered for exportation from the Lakes district for the year ending 1905 was 5,9620z valued at £24,102, or an increase of 130oz on the 1904 return, Tho number of miners in tfie County at 31st Dec. 1905 is 2.41, as compared with 191 in 1904.
