SCHOOL SOCIAL
Tho social and dance in aid of the Arrow Public School, hold in the Athoncum if all on Friday evening last, proved to be most enjoyable. Considering that this is tho busy time with the farmers, the attendance of tho public was vory good. The following items were given at intervals during the evening, and needless to say, were much appreciated : —song " I trust you still," Miss Jopp ; song, " When the harvest days are ovor," Miss A. Cotter; duet, "What are the wild waves saying," Mrs Perrelle and Misa A. Cotter; song, " Asleep on the deep," Mr W. G. Tonkin ; jigs, Messrs M'Skimming and Shanahan, and a sword dance by Mr W. Jopp. The music for tho dance was supplied by Mrs Perrelle, and Mr S. Stevenson, while Mr M'Skimming kindly acted as M.C. A committee of ladies superintended the refreshments, and it goes without Buying that thoy carried out their duties well. Thanks were returned to tho public for their patronage, tho performors for their assistance, the parents for supplying the good tilings, and to Mr M'Skimming for acting as M.C.
