SKIN AN D HIDES REPORT,

M essrs Dalgt by and Co. report as follows ;—• Rabbitskins.—At the sale on Mondas we offered a large catalogue, of which a very fair proportion consisted of prime winter skins. There was a full attendance of buyers and prices for all descriptions were firm and maintained. We quote :—Prime thin pelted skins 17A'1 to 18Jd, 2nd winters and bucks 15 Ad to IG.I, early winters 13Ad to 14 A cl, autumns 11 Ad to 12 Ad, summeisand early autumns Gd to suckers and runners 3d to 4Ad, blacks 12d to lG|d. Sheepskins —The usual weekly sale was held in in the Agricultural Hall on Tuesday. There was full attendance cf buyers and competition was good for a!! descriptions. A favorable cable received from London during the week had the effect of buyers keener to purchase, and in consequence very full prices were obtained. Our cable from Loudon, which we received on the 7th inst. read as follows: — “ Merino sheepskins higher by Ad ; crossbred sheepskins higher by to Ad.” Full-wooled merino skins 4d to 4|d, short-wooled merino skins 3Ad to 4d, full-wooled half bred 3|d to 4d, crossbreds 3d to 3Ad, inferior 2d to 2AL Hides.—To ere is a strong inquiry for hides and no diiliculty is found in placing our consignments. Heavy ox 4|d to 4|d, extra heavy and well flayed to 6d, medium ox 3£d to 4£d, light ox 3|d to 3y-d, heavy cows 3|d to 4d, medium 3|d to 3|-d, inferior 2d to 2| I. Tallow.
