BURNSIDE. Fat Cattle.—lo9 head yarded. The supply was helow the average and there was an advance at the beginning but it eased off. Best bullocks, £9 to £lO 12s 6d—extra do, £ll 12s 6d ; others, £7 10s to £8 17s 6d ; best heifers, £8 to £9 15s; cows, £5 to £7 17s 6d. Fat Sheep.— 2878 penned, mostly crossbred wethers, with only a limited number really prime. A large exporter took the majority of the latter, prices in some instances showing an advance on last week. Wethers owing to scarcity of feed, were rather neglected. Best crossbred wethers, 18s to 19s Gd—extra heavy, 23s Gd ; extra prime, 20s 3d to 21s Gd ; useful butchers sorts, IGs to 17s 9d ; others, ]3 to 15s 9d ; extra prime ewes, IGs to 18s 9d ; others, 12s G 1 to 14s. INVERCARGILL. At the fortnightly sale of stock on Tuesday, 127 fat and 213 store cattle, and 1000 fat and 1300 store sheep were penned. Following is a list of prices obtained : —- Fat Cattle.—Fiime bullocks, £8 to £9 10s — one pen extra heavy, on account of Mr 11. Garden, at£ll 7s Gd to Mr Mil It by ; piimc cows and heifers extra heavy, £8 10s to £10; medium, £G to £9 10s; light and inferior, down to £4. Fat Sheep.
