SOUTHLAND EDUCATION BOARD.
At Friday’s meeting of the Board the following business of local interest was transacted : Master Ernest Healy was appointed pupil teacher at Wyndhara. Miss L. M‘Donne!l, teacher of Miller’s Flat school, was granted an additional month’s leave of absence on account of ill-health. Regarding overstaffed school, it was decided to notify the Arrow Committee of the decreased attendance at the school. Mr W. Reid intimated that the Macetown residents had again failed to elect a committee, and the writer and Mr E. Thomson were appointed commissioners. Messrs T. J, Cotter and W. Horn were appointed commissioners of the Skippers Reef School.
