QUEENSLAND'S SUGAR INDUSTRY
BRISBANE, August 30. In the Assembly the Premier, in reply t) the proposal to establish a State sugar refinery, said that it would be madness for the Government to embark any further sums in the industry at the present stage. It Mas possible that in a few years no sujjar would be grown in the State. Those who had tried to grow it with white labor had failed.
