(lake county press correspondent, j The weather is now the chief topic of conversation. Will it ever rain might reasonably be asked. There is a water famine on and nearly every one is carrying water from the only available supply—the spring in the school gully. Our purely local dredges are not doing too well. It is a great pity they cannot get on to a really good run in each case. Such an event would put quite a different look on the place. On Friday next the flag given by the Educ at ion Department to the school is to be hoisted—full account next time. Lately we have had quite an epidemic of sickness—old and young alike being victims. Luckily, a few days were sufficient t< > make all well again.
