NATAL STATIONS.

LONDON. August 15. The Naval Works Bill, asking for four and a-half millions beyond the Bill of 1899, was read a second time by 178 to 82. The Bill includes a million for the breakwater at Malta, a million for the extension of the Royal dock yards at Keyham (? Chatham); also additional coaling facilities at Gibraltar, Malta, and Hongkong. Captain Pretyman, Civil Lord of the Admiralty, explained that the Hongkong dock yard would not be transferred to the mainland, a rearrangement having placed acres adjoining the present site at the disposal of the Admiralty. The Military Works Bill, providing for further barracks and port defences, was read a second time.
