ARROW JOCKEY CLUB.

The annnual meeting of members of the Club was held in the Peess office on Saturday evening last and was largely attended. Mr J Bevin (president) occupied the chair. The annual balance-sheet showed a credit balance of £l3 17a 6d. The President said thf> stat* of the Club's finances werp in a very satisfactory Ftate indeed. He congratulated the

members on their past yeai's efforts, which were highly successful It was decided thit the annual racemeeting be held on the 16th November. The following office bearers were unanimously elected : President, Mr J. Bevin (re-elected, Mr Bevin returning thanks for the honor done him) ; * ice-presidents; Dr Thomson, and Messrs H. M'Kibbin, Jopp, and Romans ; judge," Mr G. H. Romans ; starter, Mr J. L. Jopp; clerk of the course, Mr P. de la Porrelle ; clerk of the scales, Mr 0. Illingworth; treasurer, Mr R. J Cotter ; auditor, Mr P. de la Perrelle; handicappors, Messrs Romans, J. J. M'Bride, and H. B. Smith ; secretary, Mr H. B. Smith. The following stewards werfe elected : —Messrs R. J. Cotter, J. J. Cotter, G. D. Baird, A. Jopp, D. O'Fee, R. M. Paterson, S. M'Skimming, D. Richardson, J. Timpany, C. D. Dagg, J. Stenhouse, J. Black. G. Reid, G. Searle, J. J. M'Bride, R. Davidson, and 0. Davis*, with power to add. Trainers' fees were fixed as before : one horse, 15s, every additional horse ss. Messrs Cotter, Romans, and Smith were elected a programme committee. Canvassers —Arrowtown : Messrs Jopp, de la Perrelle, and Smith; Queenstown : Messrs Baird and Paterson ; Macetown : Mr E. Thomson ; Crown Terrace :' Messrs H. M'Kibbin and D. O'Fee ; Hayes Lake : Mr R. J. Cotter ; Gibbston : Mr A. Jopp. The next meeting will be held on Saturday evening, August 24.
