It is hereby publicly notified that the annual meetings of householders in the several School Districts of the Education Districts of the Education District of Southland for the ELECTION of a SCHOOL COMMITTEE in each such District respectively, will be held on MONDAY, the 23rd day of April, 1900. at halfpast seven o’clock p.m. ; and that the newly elected Committee in each district will hold its first meeting immediately on the termination of the public meeting of Householders. Special attention is directed to Section, 5 of “ The School Committees Election Act, 1891,” which provides that in districts where the average attendance of the school for the year ending’3lst December, 1899, has not exceeded twenty-five children, the Electors ahull nominate and e ect a committee of five members; where the average attendance has exceeded twenty-five and has not exceeded two hundred, seven members shall be elected ; and where average attendance has exceeded two hundred, nine members shall be elected.
