Arthur's Point-

As we anticipated the annual gatherin" of the Arthur's Point Athletic Club, held on 28th December, was an unqualified success from every standpoint. It would be unfair to single out. any member of the Club as having don'.: good service, for the committee generally worked exceedingly well, and have now the satisfaction of knowing that their labors were not in vain. Numerous entries were received for the different events, and the keenest interest was manifested in the contests. Mr F. E. Daniel was at his old p>st secretary—and he fulfilled his duties to the satisfaction of all. Mr and Mrs M'Chesney, as usual, were kindness in itself, and paid all attention to the comfort of the numerous visitors.
