Arrow Atheaeum.
There was a good attendance of subscribers at the annual general meeting of the Arrowtowu Atheneum held on Friday last. Mr Porter occupied the chair.
The Treasurer read the balance sheet, showing a credit balance of £37 8a 8d on 31th December. The Committee's report (which will appear next issue) for the year was read by the Chairman, and the new general rules were adopted. Votes of thanks were returned to the retiring committee, secretary and anditor, and the following were elected the committee f Q r the ensuing year:—Dr Thomson, and Messrs P. Bowman, W. Tait, E. 0. . Porter, and W. E. Allen.
At the termination of the meeting the new committee met, at which Mr Porter was elected Chairman and Treasurer and Mr Allen Secretary. MivG. Stoddart was appointed librarian and caretaker vice Mr Webb resigned.
