(Before R. Beetham, Esq, JtM.) Patrick Feebly, landlord of the Roji Oak Hotel, Arrowtown, appeared i answer to a charge of assault brousjl against him by Martha Squires. Di fendam pleaded not guilty. The charg was a very paltry affair, and in dismia ing it the Magistrate remarked itshoul never have been brought into Court a all. ' I Civil Cases. Pritchard v. Judgmei was confessed, and a request made t defendant to be allowed time to pay.Magistrate made an order for £2 to 1 paid weekly, and in default, distress with the alternative of six weeks’ in prisonment. f-f Cunningham v.
