WAKATIP AGRICULTURAL AND PASTORAL ASSOCIATION.

A general meeting of members war held on Monday last, at the Shotover 3 Ferry Hotel. Present—Messrs A. H. J Douglas, F. M'Bride, Paterson, Scolesjj Humphrey, M'Arded and Thomson. | The minutes of previous meeting! were read and confirmed. ° ; The list of prizes were arranged fo; pub.ication, and some slight alteration! made in the Regulations. A new rule was added, to the effect that “No prize shall be awarded to grain which has passed through any other machiin than those commonly used by farmers’ 1 It was ordered that 100 copies of thi Programme and Regulations be printed for distribution at the entrance-gate; as also a sufficient number of cards fo winners of prizes. A report was read by the Secretary as to replies received from those gentle men nominated as Judges at last meet ing. The names of two of them wen objected to. but the majority of thos present were in favor of adhering ti the original choice. Mr Scales proposed as an amend men! seconded by Mr Humphrey —*• Thai two gentlemen be appointed to judgi the draught horses, and in the event o their not being able to agree, a thin party be called in to decide.” 1 he amendment did not meet will the approbation of the meeting, am was lost.
