Messrs Alfred Buckland and Sous report :— At our weekly Westfield fat stock market on Wednesday, October 29, our beef pens contained 331 head, and all of nice quality. Heavy cattle were a trifle easier, otherwise there was little alteration from last report. Choice ox, to Ll 11s, prime Ll 7s 6d to Ll 9s ; cows and heifers, Ll 3s to Ll Bs. Steers ranged in price from L 8 10s to lils 12s 6d, cows and heifers L 4 5s to L 9 10s. IT at and young calves in full supply, and with the exception of small calves prices w#re easier. Heavy suckers, L 3 3s to L 3 1 is j choice medium suckers, L 2 2s to L 2 lOs, lighter sorts Ll 4s to Ll 18s, small and fresh dropped •10s to Ll Is, weedy 3s to 7s (118 sold). There was a fair yarding: of fat sheep, which met with a steady sale at values ion a par with last week. Extra heavy woolly wethers, Ll 8s 9d to Ll 10s : heavy prime woolly, Ll 7s to Ll 8s 6d ; medium to heavy, Ll 4s to Ll 6s 6d ; extra heavy prime shorn wethers, Ll 4s to Ll 5s ; heavy shorn, Ll Is to LI 2s Gd, others 18s to Ll ; extra heavy prime woolly ewes, Ll 7s to Ll 9s, gcod woolly Ll 4s to Ll Gs 6d, others ( woolly) 18s to Ll 2s 9d ; best heavy shorn ewes, 19s to Ll Is 3d ; others, shorn, 16s to 18s 6d ; woolly hoggete, 19s to Ll 4s (1410 sold).' The 213 spring lambs were required, and sold freely. Best heavy, i7s to 18s 9d, good los 9d to 16s 9d, others 14s to 15s 6d, small and light 10s 6d to i3s 6d, There was a rather extra heavy entry of pigs, and in consequence prices for all classes were lower. Baconers, L 2 10s to L 3 13s 3 large porkers. L22s to L 2 8s ; lighter, Ll 10s to L 2 ; small, Ll to Ll 3s ;storo pigs, Ll to Ll 8s ; weaners, l2s to 14s ; suckers, 8s to 12s sold).
