100 PEOPLE POISONED
“More than one hundred deitbs have been reported in New York alone during the last month from drinking poisonous liquor.” That is a statement issued by Mr Day, Prohibition Director, and reported in the "New York Tribune.” The State Druggists’ Association declares that bootleg liquors now on sale contain lysol, mercury, formaldehyde, carbolic acid, lead, copper, zinc and wood alcohol.
, The association protests against the granting of druggists’ licensee to people who merely use them to camouflage sly grog shops. I In New Zealand, if we get probi- ■' bition, we shall surely have its corollaries poisonous booze and drugs. Vote Continuance and a rego- . lated liquor trade above ground. 14
