AMATEUR CYCLE CLUB
RACE UNDER BAD CONDITIONS. A course of 16 miles was covered on Saturday by the Club's riders. A small field faced the starter owing to adverse weather conditions. S. Hall off 3 minutes put up another good performance in the heavy going, and came away' from his co-marker to have an easy win. A. Lee rode well to gain second place. The only scratch rider, G. Irvine, was not up to his usual form and had a difficult task to catch the bunch by himself. However, he rode a good race considering the strong wind and rough going and again gained fastest time. S. Hall, 3 mins 1 A. Lee, 3% mins : 2 L. Lee, 2% mins 3 Fastest time: G. Irvine (scr), 51 mins. 50 sees.
