RECRUITING WEEK

SUCCESSFUL RESULT. TOTAL OF 77 RECRUITS. EXCELLENT RESPONSE FROM DISTRICT. The Recruiting Week closed on Saturday and the result may be regarded as very satisfactory. A total of 77 recruits enrolled during the week. The Te Kuiti centre had a strength of 65 prior to the . commencement of the week, and the total strength is now 142. Members of the Legion of Frontiersmen gave very valuable assistance in manning the recruiting booth during the week. The following is the list of enrolments on Friday and Saturday last:—

Recruiting at Aria

Recruiting at Aria is proceeding satisfactorily. The following recruits enrolled there last week:— Privates V. Knight, A. H. Bramley, H. Carswell, J. Gray, A. C. Brough, L. Brough, E. H. Keighley, A. J. Hegglin, R. Thomas, J. F. Barnett, C. W. Holloway, E. Elliott, R. A. Keighley, H. F. W. Northcott, R. J. Holloway, D. H. Turner, H. P. Allen. Indications are that the total enrolments at Aria will soon reach 30, when a training centre will be established there. It can now be said that the Te Kuiti district is doing its full share in filling the quota required to bring the Waikato Regiment up to full strength.
