RISE AT WESTFIELD. '" VALUES UP 1/- A 100 LB. Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report that at their weekly Westfield stock sale on Wednesday they offered 247 head of cattle, comprising 107 steers and 140 cows and heifers, against 171 head last week. Steers were yarded in large numbers, but selling under a keen request, values improved by Is a 1001 bon last week. Cows and heifers were yarded in average numbers and here also values improved by Is a 1001 b. Quotations: —Extra choice ox sold to 34s a 1001 b; choice and prime, 31s to 335; secondary and plain, 28s to 30s; prime young cow and heifer beef, 29s to 3,15; ordinary cow beef, 21s to 275; extra heavy prime steers, £l4 to £ls ss; heavy prime steers, £l2 12s 6d to £l3 13s; lighter prime steers, £ll 10s to £l2 7s 6d; light prime steers, £lO 12s 6d to £ll 7s 6d; small and unfinished, £7 10s to £9 12s 6d; extra heavy prime youngcows and heifers, £lO 9s to £11; heavy prime, £9 9s to £10; lighter prime, £8 5s to £9; light, £7 to £8; other killable cows, £5 to £6 10s.
