PIO PIO SALE
o —— SMALL YARDING. Messrs. Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report having offered a small yarding of sheep and cattle at their usual triweekly sale at Pio Pio yesterday. Sheep again attracted attention, a pen of 2-tooth ewes being sold under keen competition. In the cattle section dairy heifers sold at below late rates.
Quotations. —Two and 4-tooth ewes r.w. Romney rams, 245; 4, 5 and 6year ewes, r.w. S.D. rams, 13s; small m.a. ewes r.w. Romney rams, 12s 8d; small b.f. hoggets, good condition, 6s 9d; small m.s. b.f. 2-tooths, 10s 9d; cull ewes 4s Id; forward condition m.a. wethers 12s 7d; 1 good 3-year Jersey heifer, calved, £7 2s 6d; good 3-year Jersey heifers, close to profit, JE7 15s; later calvers £7.
