FURTHER PRICES. IMPROVED VALUES. On Tuesday the prices received at the Taumarunui live stock sale showed a marked improvement on recent sales. Fat bullocks were purchased by local butchers at from £6 7s 6d to £ll 10s, and fat cows made from £4 12s 66. to £6 7s 6d. There was also a fair demand for young farm horses, a small consignment from the Waikato making from £7 10s to £24. Horses.—Useful young gellings, £9 15s to £l6; three-year-old fillies, broken to chains and ready for work, £7 to £24.
