Wild pigs, which are a pest among sheep in the Wanganui back country, have had war declared on them. Since th beginning of June about 80 snouts and tails hav been brought to the Department of Agriculture to claim the bonus of one shilling for each pig killed. During the three months of 1937, in which a similar bonus was offered, 1286 anamils were destroyed.
