Miss Phil Jones, who is to be married shortly, was the guest of honour at a gift afternoon in the Awakino Hall recently.
At a farewell social in St. Andrew’s Hall on Tuesday evening Miss E. Wainwright, who is shortly to be married, was presented with a case of cutlery and a cake fork from the members of the Senior Bible Class and Sunday School teachers. The Rev. W. T. Brabyn in making the presentation referred to the loyalty and helpfulness of the recipient in church work, and wished her every happiness in her new home at Otorohanga. Miss Wainwright feelingly returned thanks.
