GOLF NOTES
VISIT FROM TE AWAMUTU. A most enjoyable return match with Te Awamutu was played at the Te Kuiti course during the weekend. In the men’s games Te Awamutu were five matches ahead on the day. The ladies, however, won all games but two. During the morning round a Stableford bogey was played and was won by R. Wallace, of the Te Awamutu Club with 37 points. His medal score was 76. In the afternoon a four-ball best ball bogey match resulted in a win for R. Drew and J. Earle 3 up. The runners-up were S. Cato and G. Wilson 2 up. Next Saturday the draw for the first round of the championship senior, junior and limit matches will be played and it has been decided to restrict these grades to seniors 12 and under, junior 13 to 20, limit over 20.
All playing members will be drawn in these events and anyone omitted should notify the match committee immediately. First round matches may be palyed on Saturday and must be completed as soon as possible.

A most successful inter-club match was played over the week-end against Te Awamutu. The local ladies only lost two matches. The following are the .results:—Mrs. Kennedy lost to Mrs. Glanville, 4—3; Mrs. Hetet defeated Miss Hill 7—5; Mrs. Wilson defeated Miss Montifiore 1 up; Mrs. Were defeated Mrs. Stirritt 7—5; Mrs. Hotson defeated Mrs. Preston 4—3; Miss Silcock defeated Mrs. Muir 5—4; Miss Podevin defeated Miss Maud 5—4; Mrs. Chadwick defeated Mrs. Cunningham 6—5; Mesdames Kennedy and Hetet lost to Mrs. Glanville and Miss Hill 1 down; Mesdames Wilson and Were defeated Mrs. Stirrit and Mrs. Montifiore 1 up; Mrs. Hotson and Miss Silcock defeated Mrs. Preston and Mrs. Muir 3—2; Mrs. Chadwick and Miss Podevin defeated Miss Maud and Mrs. Cunningham 4—3.
