THE FIRST CONTRIBUTION
CENTENNIAL PARK FUND. HARRIERS AND CYCLE CLUB. £4O PAID ALREADY. The Te Kuiti Harriers and Te Kuiti Cycle Club this morning handed £4O to the Town Clerk, Mr. M. J. Strange, as their first contribution to the development of the Centennial Park. This is the first contribution to have been received in the present campaign for funds being conducted by sporting and other organisations of the town. These two Clubs undertook, between them, to raise the sum of £SO towards the new playing area and park. Now, having been very successful in their initial effort with the stall at the Winter Show, the two Clubs plan to set their objective as the raising of £75 in all, and have quite a number of functions in view.
