R.S.A. NOTES
DONATION TO WIRELESS FUND. SOLDIERS’ PLOT AT CEMETERY. The usual monthly meeting of the executive of the Te Kuiti and District Returned Soldiers’ Asociation was held in the R.S.A. Room on Saturday. There were present Messrs. J. J. Davison (president), J. H. Thornton (secretary), H. Higgins, W. Hedley, L. Cook, W. Gray,' W. Rundle, S. Howell, A. C. Shearer and G. L. Miller. Visitors from Pio Pio branch were Messrs. Bevege (president), Henderson and K. Walker.
The president welcomed the visitors, especially the new president of the Pio Pio branch and the members of his executive.
Matters connected with the annual conference were discussed. After some discussion it was agreed to open the R.S.A. Room to members of the Association on Friday evenings. A donation of five guineas was made to the local hospital towards the purchase of a radio. The president asked as many members as could possibly attend, to assemble at the rooms at 2 p.m. on Saturday next, for the purpose of forming a working party to dig the soldiers’ plot at the cemetery. The visiting committee reported that two members are in Hospital — one in Auckland and one in Waikato Hospital.
