GOLF NOTES
LADIES’ SECTION. There will be no draw for Saturday’s play. Players please arrange own partners for a stroke competition. An inter-club match with Te Awamutu has been arranged for this weekend, and as the ladies’ open day is the following week-end, all players taking part in the Harrison and Empress Cups and the foursome are urged to take advantage of Saturday’s alteration to programme to bring their matches up to date. The team to represent this Club will be posted in the clubhouse on Saturday.
A very pleasant afternoon was held at the clubhouse yesterday, when members joined together to present Miss Hitchings with a linen basket and a kitchen tidy, in honour of her forthcoming marriage. A medal round played during the day was won by Mrs. Hetet with a card of 89—14, 75 nett, with Mrs. Millar (Otorohanga) a close runner-up with 91—16, 75 nett.
