Ex-pupils of the Te Kuiti and District High School and their friends spent a most enjoyable evening at the fortnightly dance and social evening held in the Combined Societies’ Hall on Wednesday. Between sixty and seventy were present, and the evening was started off with indoor bowls, won by a team comprising Messrs. G. Andrewes, B. Browne, J. Boddie and D. Davenport, and a pingpong tournament, won by Miss Jill Jackson. Shortly after nine o’clock dancing was commenced to music ably supplied by Messrs. A. Bain and Pettigrew. The evening augured well for the success of such functions in the future.
