SATURDAY’S RESULTS. CLAUDELANDS VISIT. Perfect weather prevailed over the week-end for the continuation of the Club’s competitions. Despite the heavy rain during the week, the green rolled out well and provided plenty of draw. Results of Saturday’s games were as follows: — Coutts, Clarke Bicheno, Browne (s) 21, v. Patton, Cameron, Abbott, Andrews (s) 11. Gresham, Evans, Douglas, Palmer (s) 23, v. Mitchell, Haw. Shakes, McLeod (s) 13.
Parlane, Weston, Hedley. Morpeth (s) 28, v. Danrell, Hancock, Thomas, Read (s) 15. Ballantine, Hetet, Harkness S. F. Wilson (s) 27 v. McKenzie, Pickering, Pollock, W. Reade (s) 16. The visit of the Claudelands Club proved most enjoyable. The Club sent down three keen rinks, but the local players were equal to the occasion. Entries for the senior and junior championships, handicap singles and pairs, and the first-year players’ championship, close on the 19th inst., and the games will be commenced immediately after the draw.
