WOMEN'S INSTITUTE
TE KUITI BRANCH. The monthly meeting of the Te Kuiti Women's Institute was held in the Parish Hall on Tuesday, 11th inst. Mrs. Kennett presided over a good attendance. Two men members were enrolled, and ten members who celebrated their birthdays during May were presented with a small posy from the Gardening Circle. Remits from the July Conference were read and discussed. The competition, prettiest knitted tea cosy, was won by Mrs: Jefcott, Mrs. Smart being second and Mrs. Fraser third. Mrs. Mitchell rendered a solo which members appreciated. A dainty afternoon tea was served by the hostesses.
