Mr. H. K. Brainsby is a guest of Mr. W. S. Cato, Junr.

Miss L. McKinley,' formerly of Te Kuiti and now resident of is at present visiting Te Kuiti.

Mr. and Mrs. H. Hine and Miss Cynthia Hine leave to-day for Australia.

Mrs. A. T. Brainsby, of Whangarei, is the guest of Mrs. A. S. Gresham for the Brainsby-Gresham wedding.

Mr. and Mrs. H. T. Morton left this afternoon for Taupo, where they are to spend a few days' fishing.

Mr. F. Brabazon, of Auckland, is staying at the Midland for the Brainsby-Gresham wedding.

Mr. and Mrs. Sutcliffe gave a most enjoyable evening on Wednesday for Miss B. Gresham and Mr. E.' Brainsby, who are to be married to-morrow.

Mr. E. A. Jonasson left for Auckland to-day and will return on Sunday with Mrs. Jonasson, who has been on holiday.

Mr. A. W. Jamieson, of the Health Department, who has been transferred from Taumarunui to Te Kuiti, will leave with Mrs. Jamieson for his new position during the week.

The name of the Rev. J. H. Hall was inadvertently omitted from those thanked for assistance by the annual meeting of the- Federated Women's Institute.

The engagement is announced between Josephine, youngest daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. N. McGettigan/ Otorohanga, and Cyril Burns, youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. J. P. Lineham, of St. Leger Road, Te Awamutu.

Mr. P. T. Keam, chairman of directors of the Tauranga Co-operative Dairy Association, has been re-elected unopposed to the directorate of the National Dairy Association as the representative of the South Auckland ward.

Mr. D. Didsbury, formerly of the staff of the local branch of the Union Bank, left on Wednesday evening on transfer to Wellington.
