TE KUITI W.I.
SOCIAL AFTERNOON. A. social afternoon was held last Friday in the Parish Hall by the four circles (entertainment, drama, sewing and gardening) of the Te Kuiti Women's Institute, and a very enjoyable time was spent by all present. The chorus in costume (soldiers) by the entertainment circle was splendid and they were encored. They also presented a sketch entitled "Oldfashioned and Modern." The drama circle presented a play, "Snowed Up with a Duchess," which was very well received. The sewing circle also produced a small play entitled "Heart's Love," which was very well acted.
Mrs. Pocock sang "Flight of Ages," and Mrs. Clokey recited "The Kaiser's Dream," and as an encore "Prepare for the Shorts." Community singing was also enjoyed. During the afternoon a delicious tea was served by members of the circles.
