NEW FOOT-ROT REMEDY.
Dr. Edward Bunnell, formerly a San Francisco surgeon, now growing wool in California, claims to have discovered an effective dressing for foot-rot in sheep. The preparation, which must be mixed in an earthenware or glass container, consists of copper sulphate (bluestone), 4oz nitric acid 4oz, and red or white lead 4oz. The dressing is applied with a paint brush, but the sheep must be kept on a clean woolshed floor for several hours after treatment. It is claimed that one application will result in 50 per cent, of complete cures, while deeper-seated trouble will clear up after two or three applications.
