"CORONATION WEDDINGS"
PLANNED IN LONDON. RUSH FOR WEDDING RINGS. (From a Special Correspondent.) (By Air Mail). London, January 29. Wedding ring manufacturers are now working at high pressure, turning out rings for Coronation marriages. Jewellers confidently expect a rush of weddings during May, and they are now ordering big stocks of rings to meet the increased demand. "This will be a good year for the jewellery trade,'' the secretary of the National Association of Goldsmiths said. "Jewellery of all kinds will be in great demand, especially jewellery in the form of souvenirs. Many couples, owing to the special nature of the occasion, will also choose the Coronation week in which to get married. They will then be able to. tell their children they were married at the same time as George VI. was crowned."
